The captain looked at Fermina Daza and saw on her eyelashes the first glimmer of wintry frost. Then he looked at Florentino Ariza, his invincible power, his intrepid love, and he was overwhelmed by the belated suspicion that it is life, more than death, that has no limits.

“And how long do you think we can keep up this goddamn coming and going?”, she asked.

Florentino Ariza had kept his answer ready for fifty-three years, seven months, eleven days and nights. “Forever,” he said.

    and now you make me curse myself for not developing a reading habit at all 😦
    Darn…… i’ll start reading now….. will fetch The Monk Who Sold His Ferrari from the bespectacled bookworm next door… he told me it’s a good book.
    Any good suggestions for a start??….you won’t believe…. I really haven’t read any novel or anything like that ever…..acute lack of patience…. just once happened to read Daphne Du Maurier’s Rebecca somehow :((
    n oh yea…… my poetry blog will see some new pieces this weekend… these days have been one of those rare ones where i really feel like writing some 😀
